Worship Overview

St. John's hosts two Sunday morning worship services as well as regular services Wednesday afternoons. We are a part of a larger community, The Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina. We center our worship around the Book of Common Prayer, the Holy Bible and the Hymnal.

At 8:00 and 10:00 am each Sunday, we celebrate The Holy Eucharist (a word that literally means "thanksgiving"). We have music at the 10:00 am service. Baptisms and other life-event liturgies are regularly celebrated. All are invited to receive communion; and all are welcome to the ministries of St. John's. Children are welcome in worship and those from nursery/Sunday School join their parents to participate in communion.
